In Passionate Pursuit of the Call
Describing fire is difficult; it moves, changes shape, intensity, color, and effect. At times it can be warming; at other times it is the furnace that softens the metal. The passion that I have for God’s call on my life is like that. At times it is the gentle, comforting warmth that comes from service. Holding someone’s hand who is going through a hard time, praying for the sick, teaching, and learning. At other times God’s call has placed me in the position to fan the flames, to risk it all, white hot
passion.
My passion is to impact our community for Christ. Not just as an individual, but to gather those who will stand shoulder to shoulder, arm in arm, and make a difference. My passion is to join with my friends and as we submit to the Holy Spirit, be built into an evangelical community of faith that honors God with effective ministry. My passion is to walk beside spiritual explorers and share with them how to pursue our call to life worship.
My prayer and my hope is that I can be a tool, used by the master craftsman, to effect His work. In my humanity, I fall short. I am merely one flawed man. But in His strength much can be accomplished. I hope in this, you see my heart. I hope you see how the fire burns, and my commitment toward the passionate pursuit of the call God has placed on my life.
